Let's talk Magnesium!

Magnesium is one of the most common mineral deficiencies. Symptoms of deficiency include: Insomnia, stress, muscle cramping or twitching, heart palpitations, anxiety, high blood pressure, headaches, restless legs among many more. It's also associated with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, type 2 diabetes and osteoporosis to name a few.

Magnesium is involved in over 300 metabolic processes in the body, no wonder it has such wide ranging symptoms.

Supplemental forms vary in efficacy but to break it down real quick:

Mg Bisglycinate - most absorbable

Mg Threonate - for the brain

Mg Malate - muscles and fatigue

Mg Citrate - moderate, mildly laxative

Mg Oxide - low absorption, high laxative effect

Food sources: leafy greens, dark chocolate, avocado, nuts, seeds, fatty fish, legumes and tofu
